the more you know, the less you need

We saw this message on a bicycle in San Diego. It is an aboriginal saying. After reading this, my friend Julie mentioned a sign in a coffee shop above the napkins that read, "Please take what you need. But, need what you take." This our general sentiment and discomfort in registering for items. We have found that the more simple our lives are, the happier, more grateful and more aware we become.

However, something that motivates us to register is that it gives all of you a chance to not only contribute to our new life together in a very tangible way, it is a chance for you to learn things about us that otherwise you may never know. We like order, clean design, and items that are made with love and passion. All recycled and eco-friendly gifts are welcomed, especially plants or specialty food items. Although it makes us feel uneasy to ask for things and solicit ourselves, the intension is that it will bring us closer. So pucker up!

Love,

Matthew and Laura
